RECIPE: Iced Mango Matcha Latte

Iced Mango Matcha Latte

Tools / Necessities:

  • Bamboo whisk (chasen)
  • Electric milk frother
  • Bowl (chawan)
  • Cocktail muddler
  • Drinking glass (long drink)

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp Premium Matcha – Blending grade
  • 200 ml milk (tip: Oatly, coconut, or other plant-based milk)
  • 1/4 mango (fresh or frozen, in pieces)
  • 30 ml cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: instead of mango you can also add strawberries, blue berries or other red fruits for a #IcedBerryMatchaLatte

Instructions:

  1. Make the matcha shot: Whisk 2 tsp Premium Matcha powder with 30 ml cold water using a bamboo whisk and bowl. Sift the powder first if needed to avoid lumps.
  2. Froth the milk: Foam 200 ml cold milk in an electric milk frother (use the cold setting if available).
  3. Prepare the fruit layer: Place mango pieces in the glass and mash with a cocktail muddler (or use a blender). Create a 2 cm thick fruit layer at the bottom of the glass. Optionally, use raspberries or other red fruits instead of mango.
  4. Assemble the latte: Add ice cubes to the glass, pour in the cold frothed milk, and finally top with the cold matcha shot.
