Kabusecha – First Flush – Japan
Kabusecha is a midpoint between Sencha and Gyokuro. In other words, it has Sencha’s refreshing flavor and also some of Gyokuro’s sweetness. Before picking the leaves, the tea plant is lightly covered with a screen to shut out the direct sunlight for 1-3 weeks.
The tasting notes of this shade grown green tea are fresh, sweet, algae and umami.
