Mochi Workshop – Daifuku Mochi – Spring Edition

12th of March 7:30 P.M. at Hug the Tea

In Japan, the cherry blossom season begins in the south (usually in Okinawa) around late January, and the “sakura front” gradually moves north, reaching Tokyo between late March and early April.

In this workshop, we will create four different types of mochi, each with unique flavours and designs. One of them will be a special sakura-inspired mochi, delicately tinted pink to celebrate the arrival of spring. 🌸

Join us and learn how to make homemade Daifuku Mochi with Izumi and Misato from Mochi AN!

During the workshop, we will serve delicious matcha or Japanese tea paired with freshly made Daifuku mochi. While enjoying this delightful combination, you will be guided step by step into the world of Daifuku Mochi. Izumi and Misato will demonstrate the process first, and then it will be your turn to create your own.

At the end of the workshop, you will make four beautifully crafted Daifuku Mochi, carefully packed in a box to take home and enjoy (best consumed within 24 hours). Perfect as a gift for your loved ones or as a treat for yourself.

Throughout the evening, Hug the Tea will serve exquisite Japanese teas to complete the experience.
