Guricha Tamaryokucha – First Flush – Sweet – Japan
Guricha, also known as Tamaryokucha, is a very rare (and curly) tea. Accounting for only 3% of the total tea production in Japan. This sun-grown tea is known for its sweet and mild smell and taste. Guricha skips the final kneading process. The dried tea is left with a unique comma shape, and a sweet full-bodied taste. The caffeine level is normal for green tea and it can be drunk throughout the day. It can be reinfused, with a slightly different taste. This tea has a tangy, berry-like taste, with a long almond aftertaste and a deep aroma with tones of honey, citrus, berries and grass.
