Mochi Workshop – Daifuku Mochi – Autumn Edition
Join us this autumn to learn how to make handmade Daifuku Mochi! In the workshop, we’ll first serve you a strawberry Daifuku with Japanese tea. While savoring this delicious treat, you’ll be introduced to the world of Mochi.
We will demonstrate the step-by-step process of making Daifuku Mochi, and then it’s your turn to try! This autumn edition features special seasonal flavors: one Daifuku will include the rich taste of chestnuts (栗/くり: Kuri, in Japanese), and another may be chai-inspired, capturing the cozy essence of the season.
At the end of the workshop, you will create 4 Daifuku Mochi to take home in a box—perfect as a gift for your loved ones! Throughout the session, Hug the Tea will serve various rounds of Japanese teas, enhancing your autumn experience.
Additional Information
– In this workshop, we do not make Anko (sweet red bean paste). We’ll provide our own-made Anko for the workshop.
– It is recommended that you bring an apron to avoid getting powder on your clothes.
